Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Kent

Salary: 37-47,000 (dependent on experience)

An established multi-discipline architectural and surveying practice is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join its Kent team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality architectural and technical design for a range of projects, from residential through to commercial and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of technical drawings, BIM models and construction documentation from concept to completion.
  • Coordinate and review design outputs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, building regulations, structural and services information.
  • Work closely with architects, surveyors, clients and external consultants to develop innovative and practical design solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians, setting standards for drawing quality and production efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender packages, specifications and contract administration where required.
  • Contribute to sustainable design practices and the adoption of digital workflows across the practice.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record as a Senior Architectural Technician within an architectural practice or consultancy, preferably working across multiple sectors.
  • A strong knowledge of UK building regulations, BIM standards and construction detailing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Excellent technical drawing and modelling skills, with a high eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team and liaising directly with clients.
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines across several live projects.
  • Must live locally to Kent
