Job Description

Information Manager Pre-Construction Phase
Permanent, full-time

Red Sky Personnel is working with a leading global Tier 1 contractor delivering one of the UK s most high-profile infrastructure projects. We re now looking for an experienced Information Manager / Document Controller to join the pre-construction team and play a key role in managing all project-related information in line with ISO 19650 standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all project-related information during the pre-construction phase to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with standards.

  • Develop and implement information management strategies aligned with project requirements and industry standards such as ISO 19650.

  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to establish efficient workflows and ensure seamless data exchange across stakeholders.

  • Ensure that all project data is correctly classified, stored, and maintained within the Common Data Environment (CDE).

  • Review and audit information models for quality assurance, ensuring consistency, integrity, and compliance.

  • Support the preparation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), information requirements, and project-specific procedures.

  • Provide guidance and training to project teams and the supply chain on document control processes and BIM information management best practices.

  • Assist the Document Control Manager in overseeing document registration, receipt, distribution, and issue of all pre-construction information.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience working within document control or information management on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

  • Solid understanding of ISO 19650, BS 1192, and ISO 9001 processes.

  • Hands-on experience with CDE platforms such as Aconex, ProjectWise, SharePoint, or Enterprise Bridge.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general IT literacy.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
