They are now looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join their team, someone who s passionate about creating and maintaining safe working environments and ensuring you stay fully compliant across all areas of their business.
Job Responsibilities
As a Health & Safety Officer, you ll take full responsibility for health and safety across their live sites and office operations. This is a hands-on role with real influence, ensuring that safety remains at the heart of everything they do.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular safety inspections and audits on live sites and office environments
- Maintaining and updating all company health & safety policies and procedures
- Managing and renewing accreditations and compliance documentation
- Leading safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks for staff and subcontractors
- Producing professional reports, assessments, and safety documentation
- Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
- Promoting a positive safety culture across the business
Requirements
- Experience in a Health & Safety role (ideally within construction or a similar industry)
- A full UK Driving license
- A company vehicle/ Fuel allowance
- Possibility of travelling, accommodation will be paid for
- Strong understanding of UK health & safety laws and best practices
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards it)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, practical approach to managing safety on-site and in the office
