Carpenter / Painter / Multitrader

CBCR Ltd is working on a consultancy basis in partnership with an Ipswich-based Chartered Building Company to find two multi-skilled tradespeople. They are looking for a Carpenter and a Painter/Decorator with other skills such as basic ceramic tiling, mastic etc. skills to work alongside their existing team on customer care and construction projects.

The company undertakes various construction works, including refurbishments of void properties for Local Authorities and Housing Associations, post-sale customer care snagging/defect items on behalf of PLC and volume housebuilders and general construction projects across east Anglia. They have a strong client base and pride themselves on providing professional services to corporate and private clients.

The role will predominantly in empty, void properties to refurbish them for the next tenants on behalf of LA/HA clients. As the company also carries out various NHBC remedial works, you may from time to time, be asked to assist to resolve defects in line with NHBC standards in occupied homes. There is a strong support and admin team who will provide you with all necessary information and job specifications. The owner of the business has an exception track-record of working with housebuilders, excellent technical and managerial knowledge, providing support to his team. In addition to the customer care works, the company also works for private and corporate clients on arrange of construction projects, both new build and refurb.

The role will suit a multi-skilled tradesperson with solid all-round knowledge. You must be able to work independently to time frames and quality standards. Solid communication and customer facing skills would be beneficial due to some of the role being within occupied properties.
