About the Opportunity: Their Building Surveying team is very busy despite the current climate and are now looking for a Senior Building Surveyor who could eventually take over from a retiring Associate Director. They work with a variety of clients providing them Project Lead-Consultant Role, Contract Administration/Project Management, Design, Detailing & Space Planning, Preparation of Specifications, Planning & Reactive Maintenance Programming, Adjudication & Expert Witness, Party Wall Surveying, Due Diligence, Building Surveys, Asset Management, Condition Surveys, Defect Diagnosis Surveys, Dilapidations & Schedules of Condition, Fire Risk Assessments, Assessment of Building Reinstatement Cost for Insurance Purposes, Assessing & Monitoring for License to Alteration Applications, Measured Surveys, DDA Access Audits It is not essential that you have experience in all of the above disciplines, but this position will suit someone who has a broad range of experience. Chartered Building Surveyor / Senior Building Surveyor Synopsis: Building Surveyor required by national construction consultancy to handle commercial and public sector project and professional services Location: Windsor Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (car allowance, bonus & BUPA) About the Building Surveyor opportunity: This construction consultancy is a leading provider of Building Surveying, Project Management and Cost Management services to new build and refurbishment projects mainly within the commercial, residential, retail, industrial and education and health sectors. They work though a network of offices that cover the UK and have built an excellent reputation with their clients. Their Windsor office is now looking for a Senior Building Surveyor who is a Member of the RICS. The Building Surveyor will work on various projects and will require post qualification experience of working with commercial, private, and public sector clients. You will be working with an existing team, reporting to the Director as well as working with the project delivery design team and client organisation. Responsibilities: * Delivery of projects * Building surveys and reports * Condition surveys and dilapidations * Document changes * Progress reports * Meeting with designers, developers, and contractors * Managing construction managers It is also important that you are experienced in delivering services as well as project work although contract admin and project work is the majority. It is also important that you are client facing, proactive, and career focused. The company is a medium to large sized firm with around 200 employees. They have a fantastic list of clients and interesting projects. They have all the structures you’d expect to find at a large corporate but the flexibility of a smaller firm.
