Senior Planning Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, with a focus on oil & gas, nuclear, and civil engineering sectors, lead planning activities, and play a key role in keeping schemes on track from concept through to completion.

• Developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes for infrastructure sectors including transport, utilities, and civil engineering

• Preparing reports, risk assessments, and progress updates for clients and project teams

• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to identify and resolve potential delays

• Reviewing contractor programmes and ensuring compliance with project milestones

• Mentoring junior planners and supporting the wider project team

• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, ideally in infrastructure or construction consultancy

• Strong knowledge of planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)

• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively

• Proactive and solution-focused approach

• Salary 65,000 - 70,000

• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell additional days
