Certify payment applications from subcontractors and develop internal financial documents and reports. Liaise with the finance department to support accurate cash flow forecasting. Build and maintain professional relationships with all project stakeholders. Drive cost minimisation and value enhancement in projects without compromising on quality. Manage change control processes effectively, including early warnings and compensation events. Assist in resolving disputes and provide detailed analysis for quotations and tenders. Prepare valuations for payment applications and actively participate in financial and progress meetings. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender documents for large projects, including refurbishments and compliance works. Conduct cost analysis and risk assessments to identify potential cost-saving measures. Mentor and support the development of graduate and trainee commercial staff. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a senior role, preferably within the construction or related sector, with specific experience in sprinkler systems and mechanical projects. Strong understanding of contract law and procurement processes. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships. Proficient in relevant software for financial forecasting and contract management.
