Contract Construction Civil Engineer Management Architect and Design

Job Description

My client are a national blue chip civil engineering and construction contractor. They operate across multiple sectors including transport, energy, water and infrastructure. They are looking to onboard a project director to oversee projects in West Sussex and Hampshire.

Project director responsibilities:

  • Promote and actively demonstrate collaborative behaviours within the team and across the framework.
  • Develop and maintain a high performance culture across the team, delivering efficiencies and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and grow relationships with the client teams.
  • Actively champion well-being, safety, and environment performance and compliance throughout your team to create safety culture to ensure zero LTI and RIDDOR incidents.
  • Provide whole life oversight and accountability for the successful delivery of projects, throughout design, procurement, assembly, commissioning and handover.
  • Deliver commercial and financial performance in line with budget expectations.
  • Ensure compliance governance and client requirements.
  • Communicate extensively across all stakeholders.

Project director requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • HND/ HNC or degree in relevant construction/ engineering discipline.
  • NEC PM accreditation.
  • Senior leaders safety training.
  • Association of project management APMP.
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven experience in the leadership of complex projects/ programmes.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of CDM regulations.
  • Solid commercial, financial and analytical skills.
  • Significant experience with contract delivering.
