My client are a national blue chip civil engineering and construction contractor. They operate across multiple sectors including transport, energy, water and infrastructure. They are looking to onboard a project director to oversee projects in West Sussex and Hampshire.
Project director responsibilities:
- Promote and actively demonstrate collaborative behaviours within the team and across the framework.
- Develop and maintain a high performance culture across the team, delivering efficiencies and continuous improvement.
- Establish and grow relationships with the client teams.
- Actively champion well-being, safety, and environment performance and compliance throughout your team to create safety culture to ensure zero LTI and RIDDOR incidents.
- Provide whole life oversight and accountability for the successful delivery of projects, throughout design, procurement, assembly, commissioning and handover.
- Deliver commercial and financial performance in line with budget expectations.
- Ensure compliance governance and client requirements.
- Communicate extensively across all stakeholders.
Project director requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- HND/ HNC or degree in relevant construction/ engineering discipline.
- NEC PM accreditation.
- Senior leaders safety training.
- Association of project management APMP.
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Proven experience in the leadership of complex projects/ programmes.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of CDM regulations.
- Solid commercial, financial and analytical skills.
- Significant experience with contract delivering.
