Senior Structural Design Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a UK based Senior Structural Engineer with strong experience in Overhead Line (OHL) structural design to join our expanding Transmission & Distribution team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer eager to grow their technical leadership and team development skills within a global organization.

Our client delivers high-voltage OHL design, construction support, procurement, and consultancy services across a wide range of projects, supporting major upgrades and new-build transmission projects worldwide.

Comprehensive training will be provided to help you understand the specific local design standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead approval and quality review of OHL structural engineering deliverables.
• Manage structural assessments and design outputs for transmission towers in line with program schedules and budgets.
• Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to the development of team capability.
• Support business development and work acquisition activities.
• Drive safety-by-design principles throughout all project phases.
• Champion innovation and support the integration of new solutions and tools within project delivery.
• Prepare and present design deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all assigned work complies with technical, quality, and project management standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant design codes, specifications, and quality procedures.

You can be based anywhere in the UK but will need to travel to the most local office occasionally. These are based in Horsham, Darlington or Glasgow so applicants around the UK are free to apply.
