M & E Quantity Surveyor - Devonport

My client is looking to appoint an experienced M & E Quantity Surveyor to join this rapidly growing and successful part of the business. Based down on Devonport Dockyard, you will be involved in the delivery of the multi-million pound upgrade programme of works exciting stuff!

The Role:

As the M&E QS, you'll be primarily responsible for the Civils and Infrastructure Package and to work alongside a high-profile team and be the face of the commercial delivery

Responsible for the commercial management of these work packages, you'll work with a great team and have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of work

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
• Establishes cost control systems including administering client and subcontract changes.
• Establishes risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms.
• Mitigates risks and protect package/project margin.
• Enhances profit by seeking opportunities through change and cost reduction measures such as value engineering.
• Operates and collaborates as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You'll need to have:

Ideally, at least 5 years in a standalone QS role, ideally for a civil engineering or M & E Contractor. You'll also have:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management (or equivalent).
• CSCS card
• Strong IT skills
