Senior Cost Planner / Estimator

A leading residential developer renowned for delivering award-winning, design-led schemes across London, is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator / Cost Planner to join their team. The Role:

As Senior Estimator / Cost Planner, you'll take a key role in the early-stage cost planning and pre-construction process, supporting feasibility studies and budget preparation across multi-phase residential developments. Working closely with the Land, Technical, and Commercial teams, you'll ensure accurate cost advice is provided to inform design and investment decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and viability appraisals for new developments
• Support land bids and feasibility studies with robust commercial input
• Work collaboratively with design and technical teams to drive value engineering and buildability
• Benchmark costs and maintain an up-to-date library of rates and data
• Contribute to continuous improvement in cost forecasting, risk analysis, and reporting

About You:

You'll be a commercially astute estimator or cost planner with experience in residential or mixed-use development. Ideally, you'll have worked for a developer, main contractor, or cost consultancy and bring a strong understanding of both pre-construction processes and construction methodologies.

This role would suit someone with excellent analytical and communication skills who enjoys working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, commercially viable developments.
