We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a construction company based in Hoddesdon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining all project documentation, ensuring information is accurately controlled, distributed, and stored in line with company and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain control of all incoming and outgoing documentation
Upload, download, and distribute drawings, specifications, and technical documents using electronic document management systems (e.g. Asite, Procore)
Ensure document numbering, formatting, and version control are accurate and consistent across all files.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure document flow runs smoothly.
Track and log document revisions, approvals, and submission deadlines.
Support the wider project team by providing up-to-date documentation and reports when required.
Assist in compiling handover documentation, O&M manuals, and project close-out files.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company and client document control procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Document Controller
Strong understanding of construction drawings and technical documentation.
Proficient in electronic document management systems (EDMS).
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with office and site teams.
IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
