Yard Supervisor - Peterborough We are recruiting a Yard Supervisor for a leading Builders Merchants. Ideally someone with experience within the builders' merchants sector in a yard assistant / yard operative and/or yard or warehouse experience. FLT experience would be helpful and a valid driving license is necessary as you may be required to do deliveries from time to time. As a Yard Supervisor the role will involve managing a team of 3 yard people initially and there will be an element of manual handling, as well as using equipment to load and unload deliveries, interacting with customers and make sure they are satisfied, ensuring the yard is kept presented to a high standard. There is always plenty to do and a variety of jobs so it is important the candidate can use initiative and is able to manage their time and the other yard people sufficiently. This full time and permanent Yard Supervisor role can provide an excellent foundation for a successful career in the builders' merchants whilst supplying a competitive salary. This is a strong and successful business, established in the building products world for many years and based in Peterborough.
