Estimator - Housing Refurbishment

NPP are recruiting for an estimator on behalf of our client an established, market leading, social housing refurbishment contractor with a view to providing high quality cost estimates in a timely manner.

The role is to support the regional director, identifying risks and ensuring commercial opportunities are realised.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the vetting of bid documentation
• Carrying out site visits to gain knowledge of projects and works
• Carry out detailed reviews of ITT documents
• Liaising with other departments to gain information to be used to it's full potential
• Preparing supplier and sub-contractor enquiries
• Provision of accurate estimates and pre-acquisition studies
• Using accurate enquiries from sub-contractors to assist the formulation of bids using the evaluate estimating system
• Reviewing market costs
• Mitigating risks
• Provision of resource analysis
• Complying and upholding the companies policies, procedures and values
• Maintaining and updating the materials and sub-contractor database information in liaison with management
• Vetting of bid documentation

The ideal candidate will have a construction relevant qualification and experience in a estimators role. Experience of social housing refurb or retrofit contracts would be ideal.
