Job Description

Blueprint Recruitment have an exciting new opportunity in store for a seasoned Architectural Technologist to join a well-established architecture and building consultancy, in a permanent position. The chosen candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis, working 3 days a week, from our client's Birmingham or Shrewsbury office. You will have the opportunity to work on numerous large-scale Healthcare, Commercial, and Education projects.

-Competitive salary ranging from 50,000- 60,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

-Create concise architectural drawings, construction documentation and reports, and specifications, ensuring buildability, efficiency, and full compliance with regulations.

-Work alongside multidisciplinary professionals to find solutions for design concerns and challenges, whilst conducting clash detection tests, ensuring project quality.

-Aid design development processes, from start to finish, adapting design specifications into buildable detail, whilst maintaining accuracy throughout.

-Support BIM model and CAD system management and analysis, whilst keeping up-to-date documentation, conducting modelling tests, and ensuring version control.

-Conduct site visits, ensuring that all works align with the project specification, whilst handling project concerns and providing support and guidance during construction.

-Provide sustainable design procedures, focusing on energy performance, cost, environmental impacts, and constructability.

Requirements:

-Qualification in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, or a similar discipline.

-5-10+ years of experience as an Architectural Technologist, or a related role, with knowledge of large-scale Healthcare, Education, and Commercial projects.

-Solid understanding of software tools, such as CAD, BIM, and/or Revit, with an ability to use relevant tools for detailing, modelling, and coordinating designs.

-Sound acknowledgment of current building regulations, health and safety policies, statutory requirements and standards.

-Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, effective communication and collaboration skills.
