An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Manager to join a leading construction business based in Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage pre-construction activities for a range of projects.
Prepare tender pricing and submission documents for bids.
Develop budget costs for projects at feasibility stage.
Produce tender reports as required by senior management.
Monitor and manage tender correspondence, documentation, and drawings.
Undertake cost/value investigations alongside the tender team.
Interpret construction programmes and understand their impact on costs and deliverables.
Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with tenders.
Recommend value engineering solutions to maximise commercial returns.
Attend external and internal meetings and presentations.
Provide cost advice to internal stakeholders and clients.
Maintain and evolve the company s historical cost database.
Oversee the production of tender deliverables and client cash flow forecasts.
Ensure bids progress in line with tender programmes and that design costs are well understood, protecting the company s commercial position.
Prepare comprehensive handover documentation for successful tenders, ensuring a smooth transition from pre-construction to operational teams.
What You ll Need:
Proven experience in a Bid, Design, Commercial, or Pre-Construction capacity within the construction industry.
A formal construction-related qualification is preferred.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess risk and develop winning strategies.
Sound knowledge of technical, contractual, and procurement processes.
