Estimator / Senior Estimator - Civil/Rail/Infrastructure

Midlands & Southern Region (Tamworth office or London/South office)
50,000 - 90,000 + Package

The Role
As part of a successful estimating team, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate, competitive and commercially viable tenders that meet client expectations and help secure long-term work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with operational, engineering and commercial colleagues to prepare robust estimates.

• Manage the bid process on day-to-day tenders.

• Engage with subcontractors and suppliers, issuing enquiries and reviewing returns.

• Evaluate risks and opportunities to ensure balanced submissions.

• Present tender positions to the senior leadership team for sign-off.

• Build collaborative relationships with clients, understanding their objectives.

The Ideal Candidate:

• HNC (or equivalent) in construction, or 5+ years relevant site/commercial experience.

• Strong numeracy and commercial acumen.

• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

• Good IT skills and confident communicator.

• Proactive, organised, and a natural team player.

• Willing to undertake site visits where required.
