Responsibilities: · Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of employees and persons within areas of work. · Responsible for Risk Assessments and Machinery safety, with reference to relevant regulations · Ensure all machinery and buildings are safe and complies with all regulations · Responsible for the implementation and compliance of safe working practices and procedures including reporting of incidents and emergencies for both the company’s employees and subcontracted labour. · Carry out Maintenance activities · Provide breakdown and maintenance cover to maximise production efficiency · Use Root Cause Analysis techniques to drive Reliability improvements · Coach Operatives in TPM/Autonomous Maintenance Practices · Provide an efficient Cost Management Approach to the financial budgets. · Communicate closely with manufacturing functions ensuring the attainment of production schedules and enabling ROTIF objectives to be achieved. · Analyse, report and manage Reliability, maintenance and performance of the Plant and Machinery Skills & Attributes: · You must be multi-skilled with experience of both electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance · Knowledge of the UPVC / Composite Door industry and the machines used in its production · Project Management Experience, preferably with a relevant qualification · You should have good working knowledge of facilities, buildings, & maintenance. · Health and Safety practitioner. (IOSH Managing Safely) · Possess a brilliant working knowledge of PUWER, CE, Risk Assessments & SSOW, PTW’s. · Practical experience of budget control, purchasing, cash flows and payback. · Have a disciplined Reliability Approach, with focus on RCA and 8D processes · Experience of contractor management & control · Brilliant time management and able to work effectively under own initiative · Excellent people skills, communication and writing skills and Microsoft Office & Project skills. · HNC in an Engineering Discipline · Good Health & Safety knowledge, an IOSH or NEBOSH certificate would be beneficial Why should you apply?
