Job Description

Quantity Surveyor for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in The UK

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of package budget and cost controlling (quantity surveying) and fulfilling all documentation for the cost-plus scope. Processing contractor payments accordingly.
SAP operations when needed for cost control.
Proactive contract management to ensure a full alignment of the project team to meet the given
contractual obligations of both parties as well as on the commercial alignment of work progress with the defined project budget.
Advice package and manage variation requests and/or notices from a contractor
Ensures that contractual variations and changes or claims with regard to the scope of delivery and services, prices, timeline or other contractual agreements are enforced and up-to-date.
Monitors and reports contract performance to the project. Drafts claim related
correspondence, e.g. instructions, determinations, notices, variation orders and employer's claims.
Advice with early and holistic preparation and documentation of dispute readiness documentation.
Advice on commercial/ contractual issues and liaise with respective stakeholders.
Providing feedback for the continuous improvement process for the Contract Standard.
Reports on a regular basis to N-3 Contract Management and Project SPOC on progress and performance.

Requirements

  • RICS certification is mandatory
  • Degree qualified in a commercial subject, engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in quantity surveying and contract management, preferably in the offshore wind industry or similar energy projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract change management & claim management in FIDIC, BIMCO and LOGIC based contracts.
