Managing Agents Officer, working within the Homeowner Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on managing relationships with third-party managing agents, ensuring service quality, compliance, and value for money across a London portfolio.
THE ROLEAs the
Managing Agents Officer, you will oversee and manage contractual relationships with third-party managing agents, ensuring that all services delivered across buildings, schemes, and communal areas are compliant, safe, and meet the high standards expected by Abri customers.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage relationships with third-party managing agents across the London region
- Inspect estates and monitor performance against service level agreements (SLAs)
- Review and scrutinise annual budgets, accounts, and costs to ensure value for money
- Maintain up-to-date records of all management agreements and compliance documentation
- Ensure building safety, fire risk, and health and safety standards are met
- Raise and manage communal repair issues identified during inspections
- Represent Abri in First-Tier Tribunal applications to challenge costs or poor service levels
THE CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate will be an experienced housing or estate management professional with proven experience managing external contractors, agents, or property services. You will be confident in reviewing budgets, contracts, and compliance documentation, with strong relationship management skills.
Essential Requirements: - Previous experience in a similar role within housing, estate, or property management
- Knowledge of service level agreements and housing association operating frameworks
- Strong understanding of health and safety, fire, and building safety compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London as required
THE CONTRACTWorking Hours: 37 hours per week
Schedule: 9:00-17:00, Monday-Friday
Length of Contract: Permanent
Rate: £39,400.00 per year, plus benefits
