Fire Door Project Manager
Based in Canary Wharf Nationwide Travel Required
Up to £1M Project Value Permanent Role
We re seeking a Project Manager with extensive experience in fire door installation and compliance to join our growing team.
This role would ideally suit an experienced Fire Door Joiner who s ready to take the next step in their career managing small works and refurbishment projects up to £1 million in value.
You ll be based from Canary Wharf, with travel required to sites across the UK. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical knowledge with strong leadership and organisational skills, ensuring every project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of fire door installation and maintenance projects nationwide.
Oversee teams of engineers, installers, and subcontractors to ensure safe and compliant work.
Conduct site audits, quality checks, and ensure full compliance with fire safety regulations.
Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and senior management.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and documentation efficiently.
Support training and upskilling of site teams in fire door and passive fire compliance.
Core Qualifications
CSCS Card (Manager or Supervisor level)
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management or Project Management
Fire Door Specific Qualifications
Fire Door Installation & Maintenance Certification (BRE Academy, FIRAS, BM TRADA, or IFC Certification)
Fire Door Inspection Qualification (FDIS Diploma or BRE Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection)
Passive Fire Protection / Fire Stopping Certification understanding of compartmentation, sealing systems, and fire barriers
Fire Safety & Compliance Training
Fire Safety Awareness (Level 2 or above)
Asbestos Awareness (UKATA certified)
CDM Regulations 2015 Training
First Aid at Work (preferred)
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience managing FIRAS or BM TRADA accredited contractors
Strong knowledge of Building Regulations (Approved Document B) and BS 8214 (Timber-based fire doors)
Familiarity with Golden Thread documentation and Building Safety Act requirements
Proficient in QA documentation and fire door asset management software (e.g. Bolster, Zutec, PlanRadar)
Excellent communication, planning, and leadership abilities
