CCTV Control Room Supervisor

Location: Peterborough
Salary: £35,000 to £38,300 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time 4 days on and 3 off in a 7 day period (48 hours a week)
Every Saturday & Sunday (7am - 7pm) + 2 additional 12-hour shifts (Flexible as to when these are worked) within a 7 day period - at least 1 to 2 hours must cross over with the night shift of 7pm - 7am (flexible weekday cover, including some nights, weekends & bank holidays)

We're recruiting an experienced CCTV Control Room Supervisor on behalf of a respected security services company. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and professional individual to take a key leadership role within a new fast-paced 24/7 Control Room environment.

As the Control Room Supervisor, you'll oversee day-to-day monitoring operations, ensure service excellence, and support a small, dedicated team of Controllers to deliver continuous, compliant, and high-quality security monitoring for multiple client sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee live CCTV systems, alarms, and security feeds, responding swiftly to incidents and system alerts.

  • Lead and support two Control Room Controllers, ensuring operational coverage and smooth handovers between shifts.

  • Manage staff rotas and maintain accurate incident logs and compliance documentation.

  • Liaise with emergency services, mobile patrols, and client representatives during incidents.

  • Conduct equipment checks, maintain system integrity, and ensure adherence to GDPR, SIA, and BS 7958 standards.

  • Act as first point of escalation for operational or technical issues within the Control Room.

About You

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proven background in CCTV monitoring, control room, or security operations.

  • Valid SIA CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) Licence and enhanced DBS check.

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.

  • Excellent communication, incident reporting, and IT skills.

  • Calm, decisive, and professional under pressure.

  • Strong knowledge of data protection, confidentiality, and incident escalation procedures.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with NSI/SSAIB monitoring standards.

  • Experience using workforce or incident management systems.

  • Current First Aid qualification.
