Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location:

West Midlands, West Midlands, Walsall

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours. No hybrid working

Rate:

£450 - £500 Per day

Job Duties:

• Manage all financial aspects of a light civils project
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects
• Conduct risk assessments and advise on contractual matters
• Monitor and report on project financial progress
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• RICS or CIOB accreditation
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

Education:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying
• Experience in managing commercial projects in civils sector.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in construction contracts and procurement processes
• Advanced knowledge of construction technology and materials
• Strong IT skills, including MS Excel and Quantity Surveying software

Preferred Qualifications:

• Chartered status with RICS or CIOB
• Postgraduate qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar

Working Conditions:

• Office / site based
• Regular working hours with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines
