This role is to join an established consulting engineering practice who specialise in design of mechanical and electrical services for buildings.

As a business their building services design expertise covers a wide range of sectors which have grown to include large complex industrial projects. Design work undertaken includes refrigeration, sprinkler systems and insulated structure installations, along with all specialist service elements that are required

Due to continued growth within the business, they are now looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.

Experience / Key Skills

• Experience of previous major project design experience in electrical engineering.
• Understanding of integrated design in buildings.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines.
• Possess genuine interest and knowledge of sustainable design and low energy buildings.
• Experience of delivering projects from inception to completion, through your own efforts and that of your team.
• Familiarity with site practices, and experience of inspections and surveys
• Possess a good understanding of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.
• Competent in specification writing, design/drawing for all building types.
• Must possess good knowledge and a competent ability in the use of Amtech and lighting software
• Be conversant with current IT, technical methodology and information sources.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the relevant and current British and industry Standards.
