Geotechnical Engineer
Due to continued expansion, an abundant pipeline of works, and the recent award of a number of lucrative contracts, our client now wishes to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer to plan, prioritise and manage site-based field testing and accompanying laboratory works on behalf of the company.
You will work on multiple schemes simultaneously in various sectors, with responsibilities comprising of various geotechnical based testing activities in the field, then analysing, interpretating and reporting on the results, ultimately to propose the most appropriate choice of methodology where ground treatment or stabilisation / improvement is concerned or selecting the correct technique of foundation (piling or drilling & grouting for example) depending on the ground or soil conditions.
You will also be working within a multi-skilled team, and be responsible for conducting technical reviews, interpretative report writing, liaison and meetings with clients and regulatory authorities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines. The role will be based within the Central Belt area of Scotland and offer work from home flexibility, with travel to sites as required. Right to work in the UK unassisted and a full UK driving licence is required.
