Quantity Surveyor (NEC contract background)

We re working with a major infrastructure and utilities business with a strong commercial team of over 30 people, delivering projects across the North East. Due to continued growth and upcoming work on AMP8 and other frameworks, they re looking to bring in a Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

The Role

You ll be joining a busy, supportive commercial team led by experienced framework managers. The team is young, energetic, and growing fast, so you ll need to be confident managing your own workload and able to support junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and managing CVR reports.
• Procurement and subcontractor payments.
• Instructing works and managing change control.
• Supporting monthly client and ESH progress updates.
• Working collaboratively across different frameworks.

You ll work closely with the MQS and commercial leads to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and commercially sound.

What They re Looking For

• NEC contract experience (essential).
• Background in civils, housing, oil & gas, roads, or local government work.
• Strong commercial awareness and good communication skills.
• Around 3 8 years experience (SQS and MQS progression available).
• Ideally degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.

Pay & Benefits

• £35,000 £50,000 (QS).
• £45,000 - £60,00 (SQS).
• Car allowance £6,500 + fuel card.
• Discretionary annual bonus (around £1,000 paid in March).
