Domestic Plumber / Gas Engineer

£35,000 - £45,000 + Van, Uniform & Pension
Bath Covering Bath, Bristol & Wiltshire
Full-time Permanent Immediate Start

Hatched Talent Solutions is proud to be supporting a long-established and growing plumbing and heating business based just outside Bath in their search for an experienced Domestic Plumber/Gas Engineer.

Our client has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer care across Bath, Bristol and Wiltshire. Following continued growth and a recent team change, they're now looking to bring in an additional senior-level engineer who can hit the ground running and take some pressure off the leadership team.

The Opportunity

This role would suit a confident, highly skilled tradesperson who's mastered their craft and is ready to take ownership of their work. You'll be joining a small, tight-knit team of engineers, carrying out domestic projects of all sizes - from routine servicing and repairs to full installations.

You won't be micromanaged here. The business is looking for someone experienced enough to work independently, manage their own workload, and support a younger apprentice when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver domestic plumbing and heating installations, servicing and maintenance.
  • Work confidently and independently to a high standard.
  • Provide occasional guidance or oversight to a junior engineer.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, contractors and architects.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 with up-to-date Gas Safe qualifications.
  • 5+ years' experience in domestic plumbing and heating.
  • Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach with customers.
  • A reliable, self-sufficient mindset with pride in quality workmanship.

What's On Offer

  • Salary range £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
  • Company van, uniform, and pension scheme.
  • A stable, long-term position with consistent local work.
  • A supportive team environment where experience and initiative are valued.
