Quantity Surveyor (new build housing)

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Plymouth / Tavistock

RG Setsquare is currently hiring a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established main contractor. The successful candidate will support new build housing and construction projects based around the Plymouth and Tavistock areas.

Cost Management:

• Prepare and manage project budgets

• Monitor and control construction costs

• Analyse financial performance and report variances

Contract Management:

• Administer construction contracts

• Negotiate favourable terms with subcontractors and suppliers

• Assist in resolving contractual disputes

Procurement:

• Lead procurement activities, including tendering and negotiation

• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)

• Proven experience working on new build housing or construction projects

• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
