Material Planner

PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Construction Sector to recruit a Material Planner to Join their Procurement team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in West Midlands.

Material Planner Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitor demand forecasts, customer orders, and usage trends to create accurate material requirements plans
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance customer service with working capital targets
• Work closely with the procurement team to place purchase orders in line with planning requirements
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, or discrepancies
• Produce regular reports on stock levels, demand forecast accuracy, supplier performance, and availability
• Analyse demand/supply trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

Material Planner Requirements

• Previous experience in a material planning, inventory management, or procurement role (ideally in a distribution or wholesale environment).
• Working knowledge of CRM systems
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of supply chain and procurement best practices
