The role: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Birmingham

Salary / Day rate: 70,000 - 300.00

Requirements:

• 5+ Years QS experience
• Local to Birmingham area
• Strong numerical & analytical skills
• Able efficiently price upto 10 Million Worth of tenders
• Familiarity with subcontractor/supplier pricing
• Full UK driving license

Duties:

• Oversee a 6M project in Lichfield, managing all commercial aspects.
• Prepare and manage tender submissions and cost estimates.
• Calculate labour and material requirements for project timelines.
• Conduct site visits for measurements and progress valuations.
• Source and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Manage budgets through design, planning, and delivery stages.
• Recommend cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality.
• Identify and mitigate cost and contractual risks.
• Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain cost reports.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and procurement procedures.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet financial targets.
