Location: Birmingham (Office-Based, 5 Days/Week)
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

About the Opportunity:
An established and growing specialist consultancy is looking for a Junior Project Planner to join its Birmingham-based team. The company works across a wide range of major UK and international infrastructure and construction projects.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone early in their construction or civil engineering career to step into the world of project planning and delay analysis, with structured training and mentorship from senior professionals.

You'll be supporting a Senior Delay Analyst on complex assignments across multiple sectors including transport, energy, healthcare, commercial developments and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and manage project programmes

  • Assist with delay analysis and forensic planning

  • Support project controls and risk management processes

  • Help prepare documentation and reports for dispute resolution or project recovery

  • Liaise with project teams, clients, and consultants

  • Learn specialist planning and delay techniques from experienced mentors

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

  • 1-3 years' experience in the construction or civil engineering industry

  • Strong interest in planning, delay analysis, or programme management

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills

  • Ability to work full-time from the Birmingham office (5 days a week)
