GARDENER / WOKING / UP TO £27,000 PER ANNUM

Woking Crematorium is seeking a Gardener to join our dedicated team. This is more than just a gardening job; it s an opportunity to provide a beautiful and peaceful environment for grieving families.

About the Gardener Role:

As a Gardener, you'll be responsible for the year-round maintenance and upkeep of our grounds. You'll use your skills to ensure the gardens are immaculate, promoting a tranquil and professional atmosphere at all times. This is a hands-on role that requires initiative and a caring approach.

Key Responsibilities of the Gardener:

• Perform a variety of gardening duties, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, and weeding.
• Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of memorial areas, ensuring they are always clean and presentable.
• Work collaboratively with our team to maintain the crematorium's peaceful environment.
• Maintain and clean gardening equipment and machinery.
• Help with the construction and maintenance of memorials.
• Keep all public areas, including car parks and entrances, clean and tidy.

About You:

You are a compassionate and physically capable individual with a passion for gardening. You're comfortable with a physically demanding job that involves lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• You have experience using a range of horticultural machinery like ride-on and hand lawnmowers and hedge trimmers.
• You possess a solid knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
• You are a reliable team player who is willing to support your colleagues.
• You are flexible with your working hours to meet the needs of the business.

What We Offer:

• A permanent, full-time position with a salary of up to £27,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
• Working hours of 39 per week, with potential shifts between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• We'll provide and pay for your FBCA Cremator Technician training and assessment, which is a requirement for this role.

Please note that there will be an initial three-week training period for this role that will take place at our Golders Green site. All travel fees or accommodation will be covered and arranged as necessary.
