Position: Rigger (Contract)
Location: Deeside, UK
Duration: 5-6 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: Competitive (DOE)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Rigger to join a major engineering construction project in Deeside on a 5-6 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for lifting, moving, and securing heavy equipment, plant and materials, ensuring all operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out rigging, lifting, and hoisting operations in line with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Inspect and maintain lifting gear, slings, shackles, and other rigging equipment.
- Work closely with crane operators and site teams to ensure safe and precise lifting.
- Read and interpret lifting plans, blueprints, and method statements.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Rigger Certification (CSCS Gold Card / NVQ Moving Loads )
- Experience working on engineering or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of lifting techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to work at heights and in challenging environments
- Commitment to safe working practices
