Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major highways project in Gloucester. This long-term role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile infrastructure scheme, expected to run for at least 18 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for all aspects of highways construction

• Overseeing works including roads, kerbs, and drainage

• Maintaining accurate records for quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC)

• Working closely with the site team and subcontractors to ensure progress and compliance

• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or large infrastructure projects

• Strong knowledge of setting out and civil engineering construction methods

• Proficient in using surveying equipment (e.g. GPS, total station)

• Up-to-date CSCS card

• SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable but not essential)

Contract Details:

• Start: ASAP

• Duration: 18 months

• Rate: 370 - 410 per day (outside IR35)

• Hours: Monday to Friday, standard site hours
