Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Commercial Estimator / Quantity Surveyor ( Junior or Senior Level ) at Gatwick and Heathrow Airport

The Role

CJS Recruitment are seeking a driven Commercial Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join a large and expanding construction company based in Heathrow and Gatwick,

Supporting the delivery of high-quality commercial Fit-out projects. You will play a key role in cost planning, procurement, contract administration and financial management across projects ranging from offices and retail to airport environments.

This role in open to both junior and senior-level with opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility over time. Prior airport project experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of qualities and tender documentation

- Manage and monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial reporting

- Conduct feasibility studies, cost planning

- Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective project delivery

- Review contracts, variations and change orders, ensuring compliance and accurate record keeping

- Participate in tender evaluations and procurement processes

- Provide commercial support throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction to final account

- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, Safety regulations and client requirements

Skills & Experience

- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related fields

- Experience in the commercial fit-out sector / on airport projects is an advantage

- Strong knowledge of construction contracts

- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Excel

- Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team
