Job Description

I am working with a leading general contractor who work across several sectors, due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Mechanical bias) to lead the mechanical delivery of a new build industrial project. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the end-to-end mechanical package, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

This is a client-facing role, requiring strong leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams on complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of all mechanical aspects of a large-scale new build project.
  • Manage subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of mechanical packages.
  • Oversee budget, programme, and resource allocation for mechanical works.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Act as the primary interface for mechanical systems with clients, design teams, and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, driving solutions to maintain progress.
  • Support and mentor junior team members to maintain high standards of professionalism.

We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Project Manager who brings:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer delivering mechanical works on large-scale new build projects.
  • Strong background in the industrial sector (data centres, advanced manufacturing, food, logistics, pharma, or similar).
  • Prior General Contractor (GC) experience on high-value projects ( multi-million).
  • Excellent understanding of MEP coordination, installation, and commissioning.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • Relevant engineering or construction qualification (degree/HNC/HND or equivalent).
