Planning Surveyor
Location: Manchester Contract: Permanent/Fixed-Term Salary: 55k
About the Role
As a Planning Surveyor, youll act as a subject matter expert, driving the delivery of high-impact projects across diverse client programmes. From mobile network upgrades to solar PV and EV installations, and the continued rollout of StreetHub, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure of the future.
You'll be responsible for managing a high volume of planning activity, collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and delivery partners to secure the planning rights that make these projects possible.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site surveys and planning appraisals to assess project feasibility.
Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications from inception through to approval and appeal.
Provide expert planning advice to stakeholders across multiple programmes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Manage delivery activity directly and through third-party suppliers.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in planning within the telecoms sector.
Strong knowledge of the General Permitted Development Order (GPDO) and its application in telecoms.
Familiarity with the Electronic Communications Code and its influence on planning and legal outcomes.
A collaborative team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple client programmes.
