Works Manager

My client are a national civil engineering business. They are looking to onboard a works manager to help deliver a infrastructure and highway scheme being delivered in Yorkshire. The scope of works you will be responsible for managing will include earthworks, utilities and highway works.

Works manager responsibilities:

• Develop details work plans in line with project deadlines.
• Managing and allocating plant, labour and materials.
• Oversee day to day site operations.
• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance to specification and RAMS.
• Coordinating with the project manager and commercial team.
• Maintain detailed site records.
• Address technical issues on site and provide solutions.
• Managing health and safety.
• Attending progress meetings.
• Liaising with the client, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

Works manager requirements:

• Right to work in the UK.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• CSCS card.
• SMSTS.
• First aid.
• EUSR 1 & 2.
• Previous experience in works managers role.
• Experience and knowledge or earthworks and or highways.
• Full UK driving licence.
