We are looking for a Groundworker to join our Longhurst team.
About the Role
Joining our team, you ll carry out a variety of technical service tasks within a social housing setting. These tasks will include:
Installing, maintaining, and repairing fences, gates, and other barriers for residential properties
Removing old fencing, laying out and measuring new fence lines.
Digging post holes and setting posts,
Attaching various fence materials like wood, metal, or plastic.
Lift and relay flags
Pointing works as required.
You ll manage all tools and equipment necessary for ground and building works, ensuring and materials ready prior to undertaking any tasks. Receiving and completing assigned tasks using a mobile device (with training provided), you ll work efficiently and safely in line with best practice to achieve excellent customer experience. The role requires physical fitness, the ability to use hand and power tools, understanding of health and safety practices, and work in various weather conditions outdoors
About You
Candidates will have previous experience as a Groundworker, ideally within the construction industry, will hold a relevant trade City and Guilds qualification, or equivalent, with excellent working H & S knowledge and hold a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card. You will also have a valid full UK driving licence for a minimum of 12 months as a company vehicle will be provided for work use only. PASMA qualifications are highly desirable, but not essential. A valid Cat & Genny license is essential.
You will also be customer focused with experience of working in both occupied and void properties and have a passion for completing high-quality repairs on time, first time.
