Contracts Manager
Repairs & Maintenance II £45k - £50k + £7k Car Allowance/Car + Bens

Our client is a leading UK contractor working within the new build, refurbishment and maintenance sectors with clients from the public and private sectors. With over 80 years experience they complete a variety of projects from new build and refurbishment of homes, care homes, educational and public buildings and responsive maintenance works predominately within the social housing sector. Having a directly employed workforce they deliver excellent training programmes for their employees and encourage and promote career development from within.
They are now looking an experienced Contracts Manager based in Mordan to work on R&M projects within occupied homes ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, to budget and with high levels of client satisfaction. You would represent the company at various meetings, including Strategic Core Meetings, Supplier Meetings and Partnering Meetings all of which are held quarterly. You will be able to liaise with all divisions of the framework, implement and convey the details of meetings to all team members and the Director.
Work activities vary, depending on the site requirements. However, tasks typically involve:
• Organising estimates and quotations
• Assisting with the preparation and presentation of documents for tenders
• Upon award of contract, implementation of works adhering to budgets and timescales
• Arranging Client/Progress/Site Meetings as and when required or stipulated
• Adhering to strict schedule of works requirements, specifications and health and safety
• Controlling and organisation of work planning, briefing project teams, contractors and suppliers
• Agreeing any additional work to be done within set timescales
• Gathering all information together for invoicing during and at the end of the project
• Supplying information to resolve disputes if they arise
• Identifying areas for improvement in existing contracting processes.
• Excellent communication skills , working closely with other construction professionals including construction managers, quantity surveyors and health and safety manager
You will need to be:
• Client focussed, energetic, self-motivated and successful
• Exceptional, with first class contract management skills
• Strong technical ability with sound commercial acumen
• Experienced in this sector with a successful track record
• Minimum 5 years in repairs and maintenance
• Able to schedule and control works to tight schedules
• Must be able to solve problems and move the project on
• Good knowledge of JCT, MTC and partnering contracts
• Computer literate
• An ambassador with superb client facing skills
• Able to make a significant contribution to the senior management team
• Must be used to managing social housing contracts with tenants in occupation
• Needs to be ambitious, should display drive and confidence
• Must have a stable career track record showing advancement and high achievement
