Location: Coventry

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Responsibilities:

Project Ownership & Delivery:

  • Take full responsibility for the delivery of assigned engineering and fabrication projects from handover to completion.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.

Customer Liaison & Satisfaction:

  • Act as the main point of contact for allocated customers, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, and project reviews where required.
  • Ensure customer requirements are fully understood, communicated, and met or exceeded.

Shop Floor Coordination:

  • Oversee all aspects of project execution on the shop floor, including fabrication, welding, and assembly.
  • Liaise with production supervisors, team leaders, and operatives to ensure smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
  • Proactively identify and resolve shop floor issues that could impact delivery or quality.

Technical & Engineering Support:

  • Interpret technical drawings, customer specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Provide clear technical guidance to production teams to ensure accurate manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with design and CAD teams to address engineering changes or issues.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven engineering and fabrication knowledge/experience/background
  • Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise closely with customers
  • Ability to work under pressure, both on own initiative and as part of a busy team
  • Ability to handle multiple varied projects from order through to completion
  • Responsible, conscientious, punctual, highly organized, and self-motivated

Desirable:

  • Excellent knowledge of all welding techniques
  • CAD qualifications and experience are preferable but not essential for this role, training will be provided where necessary.
