Intermediate to Mechanical Estimator Kent £40,000 - £60,000 + Full Package - Depending on the level of experience. Mechanical Estimator is required for my client’s business in Kent. They have an excellent reputation in the South and Southeast for delivery construction, commercial and residential schemes. Duties will include but are not limited to: * Producing accurate tender returns from drawings/site visits * Support the Estimating Manager on individual projects and take ownership of estimating documentation * Review and analyse tender documentation, highlight any potential problems and suggest solutions * Ensure Company estimating processes are maintained and followed * Analysing tenders to ensure they are compliant and in line with client requirements * Work with the Bid Manager and/or Proposals Manager, to support the submission of complete tenders * Maintain/update the library of rates for sub-contractors and suppliers * Attend pre and post tender meetings * Work closely with Operations/Commercial/Procurement functions to create accurate estimates * Build and develop strong relationships and interaction with the clients * Mentoring junior estimators * Deliver accurate and detailed quotations * Meeting and achieving required deadlines. * A Background in mechanical Estimating is a must. Intermediate Mechanical Estimator Our client is an MEP specialist contractor that works mainly in the residential and mixed-use markets. They currently require and up and coming Mechanical Estimator to join on a permanent basis. The Intermediate Mechanical Estimator will join an existing commercial team, but be the sole estimator within this remit. Our client is medium-sized and family run. For this reason, they want someone malleable who is willing to be mentored and adhere to the current processes in place for pricing works in the HVAC market. Ideally, they would like someone with 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services market. They are a privately-owned company which provides building services contracting from design and build to traditional engineering projects and project management for Main Contractors and Developers. They operate across various sectors but predominately residential apartments blocks. These projects range in value up to £10M. As the Junior / Intermediate Mechanical Estimator you will work within an established estimating and contract management assisting in preparing mechanical estimates of values up to £10M but initially be working on smaller projects to develop your estimating skills and knowledge. This will enable you to learn the concepts and procedures of estimating with the scope of progressing your career into an Estimators role.
