Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a forward-thinking consultancy? My client is seeking a talented individual to join a dynamic team working on a wide range of exciting and prestigious building projects across the UK and internationally.

About the Role:

As an Electrical Design Engineer within the Building Services team, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable electrical solutions across a diverse portfolio that includes:

Commercial offices
Luxury hotels
Public sector buildings
Retail environments
High-end residential
Smart cities & masterplans
Sports & leisure facilities
Cultural landmarks

This role offers the opportunity to contribute at all stages of the design process, from concept through to detailed design and construction support. Youll be working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment that values creativity, precision, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design of low voltage distribution, small power, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems
Produce detailed engineering calculations and technical drawings
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including architects, clients, and contractors
Attend site visits and client meetings
Ensure designs comply with current regulations and best practices
Support junior team members and contribute to technical development

What My Client Is Looking For:

A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
3+ years' experience in building services design
Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Amtech)
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and design standards
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Chartership (or working towards) with CIBSE or IET is a plus
