The work is across the South West and South Wales. The site you could be working at could be in Melksham (Wiltshire), Iron Acton (Bristol), Chickerill (Weymouth), Bramley (Reading), Cilfynydd (Pontpridd), Upper Boat (Cardiff), Imperial Park (Newport), or Pembroke.
You will:
Set out civil works with GPS equipment, (Leica or Trimble and AutoCAD) for Reinforced Concrete foundations, drainage, ducting, earthworks, roads, fencing.
You will be doing slump tests, and Inspection and Test Plans
Review and advise on Temporary Works;
Prepare handover documents and H&S files
Resolve on-site design issues and manage change control (Technical Queries/Request for Information)
Coordinate as-built drawings
Attend design/coordination meetings
You will be:
Civil Engineering degree or HNC or NVQ Level 5 or equivalent
Experience in electrical transmission or distribution at a minimum of 33kV or above
CSCS card
Full UK driving licence required
Familiar with BS5975 Temporary Works
Confident with GPS tools like Leica and Trimble and CAD
Would suit a Design Engineer, M&E Engineer with 132kV experience, Project Engineer, Electrical Estimator or Tendering Engineer.
