Vacancy Introduction As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase, managing the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission and handover. Working closely with operational, commercial, and technical teams, you will develop competitive cost estimates, assess project risks and opportunities, review technical and contractual requirements, and ensure submissions are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timescales. You will also provide leadership to the estimating team, build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, and contribute to securing profitable projects that support the continued growth of the business. What We're Looking For Proven experience in a Senior Estimator or Estimator position within the utilities, infrastructure, or civil engineering sectors. Demonstrable success in preparing winning tenders and securing profitable projects. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, pricing, and commercial principles. Ability to develop estimates from first principles and interpret technical, commercial, and contractual documentation. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience leading, mentoring, or developing estimating teams. Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Key Responsibilities Estimate Preparation & Tendering Interpret client tender requirements from PQQ and ITT documentation. Conduct detailed take-offs and reviews of Bills of Quantities (BoQs) based on client information. Collate essential supporting documentation throughout the estimating process, including opportunity, risk, and key assumption registers.
