* Produce site records including, but not limited to; daily drilling logs, pre-start drilling rig checks, risk assessments and reports
* Working on various projects utilising numerous drilling rigs and techniques in accordance with the appropriate specification
* Produce reports based upon precise data, relevant information, ground conditions and any other specific project requirements
The Person
* Demonstrable experience of various project-based drilling techniques, with the ability to use and operate complex rigs and equipment
* Reading and understanding of site / project specifications and drawings
* A good understanding of adopting varied techniques pertaining to the ground / site conditions
* A full awareness of project specifications and other contract documents
* An ability to produce reports that are easily digested based on gathering large amounts of technical information from multiple sites
* Highly organised and effective, with the ability to plan and schedule your own workload with the minimum of supervision

* Undertake other general labouring duties e.g. erecting fences, general reinstatement, light instrument monitoring, delivery of consumables, hand dug inspection pits and collection of samples

Due to continued and sustained growth in the UK, and a significant increase in workload, our client is now looking to recruit a Lead Driller (Cable Percussion). Reporting to the Regional Drilling Manager, you will join an experienced and enthusiastic team of staff delivering drilling and ground investigation services to a wide-ranging client base across the UK. The Lead Driller will primarily be responsible for safely setting up and advancing cable percussion boreholes, carryout in-situ testing, installing monitoring wells and backfilling boreholes in accordance with the specification provided by the Client.
Key Responsibilities
* Comply to all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and site specific EH&S requirements at all times
* Responsible for the health and safety of the drill crew and other operatives and sub-contractors who may be operating within the drilling area controlled by the Lead Driller
