Job Title: Asbestos Consultant Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear Salary/Benefits: 25k - 42k + Training & Benefits We are seeking a switched-on Asbestos Consultant in the North Eastern region. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, and will be competent in discussing technical matters directly with clients, ensuring to provide a high level of customer service. You will be joining a highly respected, UKAS accredited consultancy, who have recently grown their contracts within the region. Our client would prefer candidates who have a strong work history and proven success within the industry, as you will be expected to hit the ground running. Experience / Qualifications: - Successful record working as an Asbestos Consultant within a UKAS accredited company - Must hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 as a minimum (or RSPH equivalents) - Fully conversant in HSG 264, HSG 248 and HSE guidelines - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Experienced in producing thorough technical reports - IT proficient The Role: - Undertaking management, refurbishment, demolition and re-inspection asbestos surveys - Collecting samples from site for analysis - Carrying out 4 stage clearances - Conducting personal, background, re-occupation, smoke and leak air testing - Ensuring asbestos removals projects run in accordance with safety guidelines - Wearing correct PPE at all times - Producing detailed survey reports and schematic drawings - Training and auditing on completed works - Maintaining strong working relationships with clients Alternative job titles: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, Asbestos Surveyor, Asbestos Site Analyst, Asbestos Analyst, Environmental Consultant. Cat 6 Installer - Rail - Nights - London (up to 225 per shift) - 6+ months contract We are actively recruiting a CAT 6 fibre cable installer to work across a wireless roll-out programme for our client, working on the London Underground. The role will involve installing, terminating, and testing Cat 6 cabling in a railway environment, which includes pulling cables through raceways, working at various heights, and using basic tools. Key responsibilities are ensuring the network is operational and safe, reading blueprints, and adhering to safety regulations. You will report into a Team Leader and work alongside Electricians and Labourers. Key responsibilities Installation: Pull, route, and install Cat 6 cables along with containment structures such as cable trays, conduits, and trunking. Termination: Terminate Cat 6 cables into appropriate jacks and patch panels to establish connections. Testing and certification: Use diagnostic tools, to test the installed cables and produce accurate reports to ensure they meet performance standards. Site preparation: Assist with route planning, and install cable sleeves and chases.
