The role of the Quantity Surveyor – Cladding & Roofing will involve:
* Quantity Surveyors position dealing with various cladding and flat roofing systems; rain screen, built up, metal sheeting, timber, metal profile, brick slips, bitumen felt, liquid applied, single ply, slates & tiles
* Liaising with clients to collate requirements and specifications from tender documents
* Carrying out accurate take-offs and bill of quantities (BOQs)
* Qualifying and approving suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain high-quality standards
* Preparation and management of installation sub-contractor packages from contracts to payment notices/certificates
* Manage job costing throughout each project from design to completion and producing regular financial reports
* Working on projects varying in value from £300,000 to £6m
The ideal applicant will be Quantity Surveyor – Cladding & Roofing with:
* Must have Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally from a cladding or roofing background
* Ideally will have refurbishment experience
* Must be an outgoing character who will be an integral part of the team
* Ideally will have minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in a construction related field

Reporting to the Commercial Director role will be to assist the project team with commercial functions on a number of current prestigious projects. Duties will include:

Checking site progress (visit site), record progress and transfer onto monthly payment applications whilst recording/actioning any changes to agreed contract scope
Managing several sub-contracts and contractors
An in-depth general understanding of various construction sub-contracts (e.g. JCT Design and Build, NEC3 etc.)
Compiling sub-subcontract orders including enquiry and pricing documentation. General subcontract procurement
Timely submissions in accordance with Contract requirements to maximise profit and cash flow.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job profile
The position is for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a specialist contractor on a new design & build data centre construction project in the north of Denmark.
Senior Quantity Surveyor specification
The following will be required of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Experience in building envelope, civils, roofing, underground, cladding, steel, foundations
Ideally prior experience working on data centre or pharmaceutical construction projects
Secondarily, experience working on heavy industrial, sheds, ect.
Prior experience working for sub-contractorsSenior Quantity Surveyor Key activities
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Cost Planning
Cost Management
Procurement administration
Contract documentation
Contract administration
Financial reporting
Dispute resolution and negotiation
Data administrationSenior Quantity Surveyor Personal Skills and Qualifications relevant to the Role
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be the following:
Able to manage own packages
Assertive, with good communication skills
Ideally degree-qualified, but non-essential
Ideally MRICS, but non-essential
