About the Role This is a hands-on estimating role where you will be involved from initial enquiry through to project award, working closely with designers, project managers and the manufacturing team to ensure tenders are both competitive and commercially viable. Senior Estimator - Major Build Projects Location - North West / UK Salary/Package - 65,000 - 85,000 + Excellent Benefits Package About the Company Our client is a major UK construction business with extensive experience delivering complex building projects across a wide range of sectors, including education, healthcare, commercial, hospitality, industrial, affordable housing and private rented sector developments. With a strong pipeline of major projects, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to strengthen its pre-construction and commercial team. The Role As Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for producing competitive, accurate and commercially robust tenders across both traditional and non-traditional procurement routes. You will work closely with the Bid Manager, Procurement, Commercial and wider pre-construction teams to develop competitive bids and maximise opportunities. This is a key opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator, Joinery Estimator or Fit-Out Estimator with a proven track record of pricing complex and high-quality projects. The successful candidate will take ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and adjudication, working closely with clients, consultants, design teams, suppliers, subcontractors and internal commercial and delivery teams. The Role As a Senior Joinery / Fit-Out Estimator, you will be responsible for: Managing tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission. About You The ideal Senior Joinery / Fit-Out Estimator will have: Significant experience within joinery estimating, fit-out estimating or specialist construction estimating . Strong experience within bespoke or architectural joinery . A proven track record of first-principles estimating . Experience working on high-end commercial fit-out projects . Strong CAT A / CAT B experience would be advantageous. Experience across sectors such as hospitality, luxury residential, commercial interiors, retail or high-end fit-out . Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills. Experience managing supplier and subcontractor enquiries. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Experience presenting tenders and estimates at adjudication. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines. Experience with estimating and take-off software would be advantageous.
