Key Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain various types of flooring (e.g., laminate, vinyl, hardwood, tile, carpet) Perform roofing repairs, including shingle replacement, leak detection, and minor roof maintenance Repair, reupholster, and restore furniture and fixtures as needed Prepare surfaces and perform interior and exterior painting, including patching, sanding, and finishing Conduct general maintenance and repair tasks (carpentry, drywall, minor plumbing/electrical as applicable) Diagnose issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard Maintain tools, materials, and a clean, organized work area Communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, or property managers regarding job status and needs Required Qualifications Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role Demonstrated skills in flooring, roofing, upholstery, and painting Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and repair techniques Ability to read and follow instructions, plans, or work orders Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Preferred Qualifications Trade certifications or formal training in construction or maintenance Experience working in residential, commercial, or property management settings Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Physical Requirements Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more) Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and in confined spaces Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with hands for extended periods Work Environment Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Residential and/or commercial job sites
